Mathematics

We strive to provide all students with the necessary education in Mathematics that will serve as part of a foundation for life-long learning and preparation for further education and employment.

It is our aim to increase levels of attainment for all students, by providing opportunities to enhance their skills in mathematics.

It is important to us to establish a safe and stimulating environment for students rooted in mutual respect, which allows all students to learn, making wide links and developing reasoning skills and logical thinking. Students are encouraged to reflect on their progress and to consider how to reach their full potential.

“Maths is great – it’s like solving lots of puzzles. It’s OK to make mistakes, because you learn for next time and the more you do the better you get.”

“Maths teachers are always willing to spend as much time as you need on things you don’t understand.”
