Jewish Life
The Jewish Society at Davenant Foundation School provides a welcoming space for Jewish students to come together, celebrate their heritage, and engage with their faith and culture. We meet regularly to discuss Jewish life, traditions, and current topics, and have a little bit of fun. We are fortunate to host a range of inspiring visitors, including youth workers from JLGB, Tribe, CAA, UJSix, and some of our local Rabbis. Through these sessions, our students have the opportunity to deepen their understanding, build friendships, and strengthen their connection to the wider Jewish community. We have celebrated many of the Jewish festivals and students have had the opportunity to enjoy doughnuts on Chanukah, dress up on Purim, make Challah cloths for Shabbat, shake the lulav on Sukkot and even participate in a mock seder before Pesach.
