TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCY
30 hours per week term-time only
8.30 a.m. – 2.30 p.m.
Local Government Pay Band 2, Scale Point 3 – approximately £12,693 p.a.

We have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to work as part of the Learning Support Team. The hours will be 8.30 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. with a half hour break for lunch. The successful candidate will have GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and good skills in ICT. You will be enthusiastic, have good interpersonal skills, enjoy working as part of a team, and help to inspire and motivate young people who find education more challenging.
The role will involve supporting students with SEND within their lessons up to GCSE level to ensure that they are able to become successful and independent learners. The post holder will work with a range of students with a variety of special educational needs including those with physical difficulties.
This role will also involve carrying out personal care needs, manual handling and delivering individual physiotherapy and occupational therapy programmes to identified students as directed by professionals.
